Dinosaurier?! In einem lässig-zarten und nahbaren Musiktheaterabend zwischen aktueller Kammermusik und fragilem Chor verhandelt das 13-köpfige Team um die Sängerin Lisa Florentine Schmalz die Frage, wer darüber entscheidet, welche Rollen Menschen als (Nicht-)Mütter in der Gesellschaft einnehmen und was das wirklich mit Jägern und Sammlerinnen zu tun hat. Welchen Einfluss auf unsere Körper und unser Miteinander hat dabei das Bindungshormon Oxytocin? Lenkt diese beeindruckende chemische Verbindung unser Verhalten? Oder sind wir es, die die Hormone steuern? Ob mit klassischer Gesangsstimme oder ausufernden Monologen, ob am Klavier oder mit Synthesizern – Natur und Kultur, Biologie und soziale Prägung: Diese scheinbaren Gegensätze werden von den vier Performer*innen auf die Probe gestellt. DEIN OXY bearbeitet als gut geölte Bühnen-Molekül-Fabrik Impulse aus Wissenschaft und feministischem Kanon. Dabei sei eines vorab verraten: Ob mit Brüsten oder ohne — Kuscheln hilft, deinem Oxytocin und der Gesellschaft!

I am a mother. I am not a mother. I am breastfeeding. I am silent. I am loud. And there are breasts flying around in our universe. And the question of when my existence fulfils its true purpose. Does this have something to do with origins? With seed-giving god worshippers or rather something to do with my optimised smartphone thumb? You make me feel like a natural … dinosaur?! In a casually tender and approachable evening of music theatre between contemporary chamber music and fragile choir, the 13-member team around singer Lisa Florentine Schmalz negotiates the question of who decides what roles people take on in society as (non-)mothers and what this really has to do with hunters and gatherers. What influence does the bonding hormone oxytocin have on our bodies and our togetherness? Does this impressive chemical compound guide our behaviour? Or is it we who control the hormones? Whether with a classical singing voice or sprawling monologues, whether at the piano or with synthesizers – nature and culture, biology and social conditioning: These apparent opposites are put to the test by the four performers. DEIN OXY works on impulses from science and the feminist canon as a well-oiled stage molecule factory. One thing can be revealed in advance: Whether with or without breasts – cuddling helps your oxytocin and society!
